Senior Scratch Team close match with Sussex

Another close result for the Senior Scratch team today in their match against Sussex. Both teams fielded very strong players so it was always going toe tight. There were some great matches with Belinda and Clarissa finishing their match with birdies on 16 and Maggie and Aileen halving the last with birdies, but unfortunately we came out just the wrong side of the result again losing 2.5 to 3.5. With many friendships and shared history between the 2 teams, the matches were competitive but as usual played in a great spirit. The course and greens were in beautiful condition but everyone found the wind and fast greens extremely tricky! Thanks to Hindhead GC for looking after us so well – everyone had a very enjoyable day – despite the wasps!
