Players should ensure they have read the SWG Competition Rules and Guidelines, particularly section G14 Dates offered & G18g availability for final.
All players who wish to enter a SWG competition must be in possession of a current, registered WHS handicap. They must have played three qualifying rounds in the previous 12 months prior to the date of each match. (not including cards used to gain their Initial Handicap Index) This applies to handicap and scratch competitions.
Spring Match Play:
S1. An individual singles match play knock-out Competition played annually.
S2. Open to players with handicap indices plus to 30.0 on the closing date. If a player’s handicap index increases above 30.0 during the competition, she will play off 30.
S3. Matches will be played off full difference in course handicap and there is no maximum limit of 1 stroke per hole.
S4. The Player drawn at Home, must offer at least three dates and no more than two dates in a seven day period. This must be done by the contact date on the draw sheet, otherwise the opponent(s) may claim ‘Home’ advantage. Where a player is a member of two clubs or a pair are from different clubs (in the Stirling Salver or 4BBB), they may offer dates at either club. However, in a given round all dates must be at the same club. Whilst it is the responsibility of the Home Team Player to offer dates, it is expected that both sides will take reasonable actions to arrange dates.
S5. A random draw for Home/Away will be created at the start of the competition by IG up to the semi final.
Semi-finals will be held at a neutral venue, organised by SWG.
Final will be played ON (not by) 10th OR 11th Oct TBC
