4BBB Knockout 2023 Rules

Players must read SLCGA Competition Rules and Guidelines.
Particular attention is draw to Rule G15c dates offered & G18g availability for finals day.

4BBB Rules and Conditions (BB= Better Ball)

BB1. A 4BBB match play Competition played for annually.

BB2. Players entering must be a member of a Club affiliated to SLCGA or be an associate or individual member of SLCGA. Pairings do not need to be from the same Club.

BB3. The competition is open to handicap indices plus to 30.0. There will be no maximum limit of 1 stroke per hole. All players will play off 90% of their Course Handicap. Shots for each player will then be calculated as the full difference from the lowest player.

BB4. The player drawn at “Home” must offer at least 3 dates to her opponents as per the General Rules and Conditions – See Rules G14 and G17.

BB5. A pair who are members of different clubs are not restricted as to which course they offer for each round when drawn as the ‘home’ pair.

BB6. No substitutions will be allowed once the first round has been played.

BB7. Round 1 - The players at the top of the draw will play at “Home”.
Round 2 - The players at the bottom of the draw will play at “Home”
Round 3 - The players at the top of the draw will play at “Home”.
Round 4 - The players at the bottom of the draw will play at “Home”

R1 Play by 23.04.23 ( Contact by 19/3/23)
R2 Play by 04.06.23 (Contact by 27/4/23)
R3 Play by 16.07.23 (Contact by 8/6/23)
R4 Play by 27.08.23 (Contact by 19/7/23)
Semi-finals will be held at a neutral venue, organized by SLCGA. Play by 01.10.23 ( Contact by 1/9/23)
Final will be played ON (not by)22nd Oct 2023 at Guildford Golf Club
