General Rules and Conditions

Please consult the General Rules and Conditions that apply to all SLCGA knock-out Competitions.
(Rules G1-G26), Issue 15.

Inter-Club Handicap Foursomes Rules and Conditions (HF= Handicap Foursomes)

HF 1. An Inter-Club Foursomes Match Play Competition played annually Home or Away.
HF 2. Clubs entering must be affiliated to SLCGA.
HF 3. Players may be substituted after each round, even after a date has been agreed to play the match.
HF 4. Players may only represent one club in any one year.
HF 5. Matches will be played off the full difference between the team's Playing handicaps. Each team's Playing handicap is half the combined course handicaps rounded to the nearest whole number. The combined handicap indices may not exceed a maximum of 60 on the closing date. (10.03.23)

Eg Pair 1:
Annie: CH 16
Bryony: CH 21
Playing handicap us half combined = 37/2 = 18.5 rounded to 19

Opponents Pair 2:
Cynthia: CH 22
Debbie: CH 18
Playing handicap is half Combined = 40/2 = 20

20 - 19 = 1 shot

HF 6
First round - The Club at the top of the draw will play “Home”.
Second Round -The Club at the bottom of the draw will play at “Home”
Third Round - The Club at the top of the draw will play “Home”.
Fourth Round - The Club at the bottom of the draw will play at “Home”
HF 7. Semi-finals will be held at a neutral venue, organized by SLCGA.

HF 8 Play By Dates
R1 Play by 23.04.23 ( Contact by 19/3/23)
R2 Play by 04.06.23 (Contact by 27/4/23)
R3 Play by 16.07.23 (Contact by 8/6/23)
R4 Play by 27.08.23 (Contact by 19/7/23)
Semi-finals will be held at a neutral venue, organized by SLCGA. Play by 01.10.23 ( Contact by 1/9/23)
Final will be played ON (not by)22nd Oct 2023 at Guildford Golf Club
