Burditt Salver Knockout 2024 Rules

Players must read SWG Competition Rules and Guidelines.
Particular attention is draw to Rule G15c dates offered & G18g availability for finals day.

Burditt Salver Match Play Rules and Conditions (B = Burditt)
B1. An individual singles match play competition played annually.
B2. The competition is open to all who are 60 years of age or over on the closing date.
B3. Matches will be played off full difference in course handicap and there is no maximum limit of 1 stroke per hole.
B4. The ‘Home’ Player must offer at least three dates and no more than two dates in a seven day period. This must be done by the contact date on the draw sheet, otherwise the opponent(s) may claim ‘Home’ advantage. Where a player is a member of two clubs or a pair are from different clubs (in the Stirling Salver or 4BBB), they may offer dates at either club. However, in a given round all dates must be at the same club. Whilst it is the responsibility of the Home Team Captain/Player to offer dates, it is expected that both sides will take reasonable actions to arrange dates.
B5. Round 1 The player at the top of the draw will play at Home.
Round 2 The player at the bottom of the draw will play at Home
Round 3 The player at the top of the draw will play at Home
Round 4 The player at the bottom of the draw will play at Home
The Semi-Final will be played at a neutral venue
The Final is play ON (not play by) 13th Oct 2024 at TBC

R1 Sunday 28th April (Contact by 22/3)
R2 Sunday 9th June (Contact by 1st May)
R3 Sunday 21st July (Contact by 12th June)
R4 Sunday 25th Aug (Contact by 24th July)
Semi-finals will be held at a neutral venue, organized by SWG. 29th Sep (Contact by 28th Aug)
