Weekend Match Play Knockout is Back!

An annual singles handicap match play competition played at weekends (& Bank holidays)

The player drawn at ‘Home’ must offer at least 3 dates to her opponent and they must all be at a weekend or a Bank Holiday.

Finals Day 5th Oct 2025

All players who wish to enter a SWG competition must be in possession of a current, registered WHS handicap. 

They must have played three qualifying rounds in the previous 12 months prior to  the date of each match. (Not including cards used to gain their Initial Handicap Index) 

The maximum handicap index is 32.0

Matches will be played off full difference in course handicap.

Red Tees or equivalent tees rated for women.

Note - Some players may have multiple home matches or away matches due to the nature of the draw.

WE Play Rules and Conditions (WE = Weekend MP)

WE1. An individual singles match play competition played annually.
WE2. Matches will be played off full difference in course handicap and there is no maximum limit of 1 stroke per hole.
WE3. Round 1 The player at the top of the draw will play at Home.
Round 2 The player at the bottom of the draw will play at Home
Round 3 The player at the top of the draw will play at Home
Round 4 The player at the bottom of the draw will play at Home
The Semi-Final will be played at a neutral venue
The Final is play ON (not play by) 5th Oct 2025 at Guildford GC
