County Week

The main event in the First Team calendar is South Region County Week, which is usually played in June. The First Team play a match (2 foursomes and 3 singles) against each of the South Region counties: Sussex, Middlesex, Kent and Hampshire. The winning team goes on to represent the South Region at National Finals. Surrey has a very good record in County Week.

The team to represent Surrey at County Week is announced at the conclusion of the County Championship in April. Players are asked if they wish to be considered for selection in advance of the Championship. Players who are unable to compete at the County Championship may also be considered for inclusion in the team based on their performance in other major events, for example the Hampshire Rose and the Roehampton Gold Cup, as well as during the previous season.
