A J.H. Taylor designed layout which is a stern but fair test -depending on your handicap. Braeside GC exists alongside Selsdon Park GC and we share this magnificent course. Originally formed in 1947, Braeside traces it roots to the course that eventually became a municipal layout called Beckenham Place Park. Sadly, it is no longer but throught the support of the then Kent Secretary, the then Surrey Secretary Mr. John Davies (who was also instrumental in petitioning England Golf as a board member), we found a new home to keep the club going. We were once in the Guinness World Book of Records as the busiest in Europe. Even back then as now, we led the way in inclusiveness and being open to the public -both as a venue and as a Club. We are friendly, welcoming and plural because we believe access to the game is of utmost importance. Sadly, we no longer have the once thriving junior section we once had. Old habits die hard however and we are still happy to help people who may have recently taken up the sport to find their feet.
