Royal Mid Surrey wins Top Environmental Award

Congratulations to Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club which has been awarded the 2025 UK Environmental Golf Club of the Year at the 30th Annual Golf Environment Awards. This prestigious accolade recognises outstanding commitment to sustainable course management, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Sustainability Manager, Claire Silva, and the RMS Greenkeeping team have been working tirelessly to implement numerous initiatives to protect and enhance biodiversity, covering areas including sustainable turf and water management, a commitment to waste reduction, community engagement and environmental leadership.

Located in Richmond upon Thames, Royal Mid-Surrey has two 18-hole courses encompassing over 50% natural habitat, including wetlands, acid grasslands, and wet woodlands, earning it Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) status. 

The Club is committed to leading by example in sustainable golf course management, ensuring both high-quality playing conditions and long-term environmental stewardship.
