Senior Team off to a winning start in the league

A winning start for the Surrey Seniors in their first match of the 2025 season. On a muggy and very windy day the Seniors scratch team got off to a winning start to their 2025 season with a 5-1 win away to Middlesex at Wyke Green. The course had greened up a lot due to the recent rain and some hand watering in preparation for their flagship event this weekend – the Worman Sword! However the greens were very much to the liking of our team who clocked up some big wins! We were very well looked after at Wyke Green with sandwiches before and a delicious help yourself buffet afterwards. Congratulations to Katie ‘Sheppy’ Shepherd who made her debut for Surrey seniors following her return to the fold this year! Our next match is 23rd June at Royal Mid Surrey but against last year’s winners Kent - good one to win!
