SWG AGM at Cuddington

LtoR: Ann Gems, County President, Katrina Davis, County Captain
and Sally Blackwood, County Treasurer

The Surrey Women's Golf AGM took place on Saturday, 29th November at Cuddington Golf Club. Thank you to the delegates from so many Surrey clubs who attended.  It was an inspirational meeting, with a review of the year covering the many successes of our County teams. We are very proud of their achievements at all levels.

Reports from County Captain, Katrina Davis and County Secretary, Ann McMahon gave details of a very busy year both on and off the course, while County Treasurer, Sally Blackwood, presented a strong set of accounts. County colours and awards were presented.

The Molly Gourlay Award for outstanding achievement was presented to the County First Team who were crowned England Golf's 2025 County Champions at Selby in September.  The award was collected by First Team Captain, Katie Laud (Hindhead), with first team players Issy Simpson (Roehampton) and Holly Justice (Walton Heath).

There was a special thank you to retiring County President, Ann Gems (Malden).  Ann has been involved with Surrey Golf for more years than anyone can remember.  However, Ann has no intention of stepping back to take a well earned rest as she will continue to sit on the Junior Committee.  Debbie Edginton (St George's Hill) was welcomed as the new County President.
