Welcome to Surrey Women's Golf
Who are we?
The Surrey County Golf Club was formed in 1900 and subsequently became the Surrey Ladies Golf Association in 1929. In 2023 we incorporated and became Surrey Women's Golf Ltd . We now have over 7,000 members from 103 affiliated clubs. A short history of SWG can be seen on the

What Do We Do?
- Provide fun and competitive golf in Surrey for amateur players of all ages and all abilities.
- Provide a
training programme to help and encourage talented golfers to reach their potential.
- Give
junior girls an introduction to the game with a structured development programme.
- Select various
teams to represent the County.
- Work with the men's Surrey County Golf Union to form a partnership for the betterment of the sport within the County.
- Provide help and support to Clubs in the administration of the
WHS Uniform System of Handicapping.
- Represent Surrey ladies on
England Golf (the national governing body).
- Signatory of the
Women in Golf Charter and working to encourage all Surrey clubs to sign up
Help to make the SWG more sustainable. Share lifts to our events and reduce plastic, bring a reusable drinks bottle and use wooden tees.
